Dr. Rana is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. He has been in practice in the Anniston area since 2007. Anniston Medical Clinic is the one of the oldest medical practices in East Alabama.

Dr. Rana is also a fellow of the American College of Physicians (what does FACP mean?). The American College of Physicians (ACP) is a national organization of internists, who specialize in the diagnosis, treatment, and care of adults. With 161,000 members, ACP is the largest medical-specialty organization and second-largest physician group in the United States, after the American Medical Association. Its flagship journal, the Annals of Internal Medicine, is considered one of the five top medical journals in the United States and Britain.

Dr. Rana finished his Internal Medicine residency and Chief Residency from Texas Tech Health Sciences Center in Odessa, Texas.

Dr. Rana also has a Masters in Public Health from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Bloomberg School of Public Health is the largest Public Health school in the world and is ranked #1 in the USA. The Bloomberg School works to keep millions around the world safe from illness and injury by pioneering new research, deploying knowledge in the field, and educating tomorrow’s public health leaders. He is putting that knowledge into practice at the Journal Club website.
